ABOUT ME:

My name is Sayaka Yamamoto. I'm a Japanese-born designer, living and working in Amsterdam since 2006. I studied fashion in high school, contemporary jewelry design at Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry in Tokyo and product design at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
I am the co-founder of the interdisciplinary design studio BCXSY.

GEM SESSIONS is my way of sharing the joy of creativity. I invite you to tap into your artistic side, explore jewelry making, experiment with form and color, and acquire new skills. It's an opportunity to make unique pieces from scratch and breathe new life into your inherited, thrifted or otherwise pre-loved treasures.

Whether you're coming in with a plan or a blank, I'll be there to guide you with my two-decade-long experience as a designer and maker.
